China’s Steel Exports Continue Growth in November

December 25

China’s steel exports continued to grow in November 2025, according to newly released customs data, maintaining momentum in what is shaping up to be another record export year. The expansion comes amid a sluggish domestic market and rising global trade pressures.

In November, Chinese mills shipped approximately 9.98 million metric tons of finished steel products, a month-on-month increase of around 2% and a rise of about 7.5% compared with November 2024. Over the first eleven months of the year, total finished steel exports reached roughly 107.7 million tons, up nearly 6.7% year-on-year. This represents one of the largest cumulative export volumes recorded for the country and highlights the continuing shift of Chinese steelmakers toward international markets as domestic demand softens.
