Product Description
Forged-Rolled Plates
A complete portfolio of cryogenic steel grades ranging from 0.5%Ni to 36%Ni is available for applications involving the storage and transportation of low-temperature gases, from propane to LNG.
These cryogenic steels provide an optimal combination of strength, fracture toughness, and weldability, ensuring reliable performance in severe low-temperature conditions.
Special steelmaking processes are applied to enhance crack-arrest capability, offering higher safety margins for critical cryogenic structures.

Application
Cryogenic storage and transportation of liquefied gases require materials with exceptional safety performance. Nickel-alloyed cryogenic steels fully meet these stringent requirements.
Typical Uses
LNG Storage Tanks: 9%Ni steel widely used for large-scale LNG tanks up to 200,000 m³ capacity.
LNG Transportation Pipelines: 9%Ni steel integrated with 304L stainless steel piping systems for jetty-to-tank transfer.
Offshore LNG Structures: 9%Ni steels used for hulls and structural components of GBS and FLNG units.
